Valentines Day 2017
AKA ” Our last valentines day before we become parents!”…
With everything we have coming up over the next few month’s and everything we have to prepare for the arrival of our little girl we have been keeping a better eye on our finances and trying to make small cut backs where we can. I’ve never been a huge fan of valentine’s day anyway and I’m a big believer that it’s the little everyday things that make a relationship rather than how big your bouquet of flowers are on one day of the year. Nethertheless this is our last valentine’s day before we become parents and with in these last few weeks before she arrives we have been making more effort to have “date nights” and spending quality time with each other. We decided to do what we do best and have a little romantic night in , we picked up a very on budget Tesco three course meal and a bottle of wine (YES WINE, I HAVE HAD A GLASS OF WINE AND NO I DO NOT FEEL GUILTY AT ALL. AND MAY I ALSO NOTE THAT THIS IS MY FIRST GLASS OF WINE SINCE BEFORE PREGNANCY). A cheap night in was one of our first dates, we always get the same wine and a little toffee sundae for pudding. For me being with the right person means that big gestures are not the things that you remember, it’s being able to enjoy the little things, the simple date nights and having your own traditions that remind you why that person is the person that you want to spend the rest of your life with.
